The creatures storage container is missing?
This device is only used to resolve anomalies in creature behavior and/or attributes. It can only be summoned by a server admin. It may be re-enabled/re-added to the engrams list if another creature breaking bug is found.
Help! Elemental Dinos are not spawning on my map!
Check out the essence emitter - it will transform normal Ark creatures into Elemental Dinos! (If this is a new Ark map, we will add the spawners as soon as we can! If it is a mod map - not much we can do to help, sorry!)
Where do I get luminescent essence?
Luminescent essence comes from large lantern pets. It can be siphoned by nearby elemental jerboas. Elemental jerboas come from incarnates.
Where do I get pure essence?
Use the extractor to get it from one of your tamed elemental creatures. Draining their essence weakens them for a while, though.
Is there a way to disable elemental feedback?
Yes! See the GDoc's ini tab for GameUserSettings.ini (GUS) settings.
Can I disable the damage penalty for normal dinos?
Yes! See the GDoc's ini tab for GameUserSettings.ini (GUS) settings. For each of the element types, set the Normal Damage Ratio to 1.
Help! My creature shows as level 1 and it is acting weird!

How do I tame an elemental mantis?
Use elemental golems (stone, fire, fen, glacial, storm, or vapor) to kill mantises for their pheromone. Then, use that pheromone to create a mantis attractor. You may want to use some of the pheromone to make a cologne so they do not notice you as well.
After a long pregnancy, my reaper spawn killed me.
Since the tiny little spawn have no eyes, they can only smell. You may smell like a threat and it may have been defending itself. Liberally apply some reaper pheromone (I know, it smells horrible).
Rockdrakes are not on Valguero- what do I do?
Get an elemental golem and smash some Deinos. Elemental golems crush with such force that their victims can turn into strange things. In this case, deino dust can often be scraped off of their massive fists. Use this to engineer a rockdrake.
Where do I get unstable essence?
Ride a hybrid dino after dark. Hunters will spawn. Kill them for unstable essence. They are stronger than normal creatures, but weaker than bosses (at first).
What is a "hybrid"?
In this context, hybrid does not refer to a fuel efficient vehicle that looks weird. A hybrid creature is one that has been imbued with 2 or more elements. Most of them can be created on the infuser. Additionally, dragons can be raised from hatchlings into hybrids.
Don't I need unstable essence to create a hybrid?
Not all of them. Dragons can be raised from hatchlings. Golems can be crafted from without unstable essence.
Is there a way to convert normal creatures into elemental ones?
Sure - build an infusion chamber! Then bring any normal creature (or abnormal, but not elemental) onto its platform and infuse it. You'll need a variable amount of materials depending on the creature's size and complexity. Alternatively, spray some essence emitter on yourself and run through the wild. The essence emitter will force many nearby creatures to naturally manifest as an elemental.
Is there a way to generate element?
I am glad you asked, random internet stranger! Build an Elemental Condenser and fill it with essence, luminescent essence, and/or crystals and turn it on. Just beware the anomalies that may occur from condensing elemental ingredients.
I have a deathwish and want to tango with an unstable spider queen - perhaps to get my own. How do I do this?
Grab a friendly golem and start smashing spiders. The golem hits with such force that, sometimes, the legs fly right off (and into its inventory). Gather enough of these spider legs to create a spire lure on the synthesis crafter. Place the lure in a combat-safe place, put 100 of the two types of elemental crystal needed inside of it, defend it, and your dreams will come true - even if shortly followed by a swift death. Either way, you'll get what you want.
I want to smash things like a Golem. How do I get one?
Fire/Stone golems can be crafted from the cores of tamed rock golems. Just walk up to a tamed rock golem and rip its heart out (yes, the golem will die, but it is for the greater good (the greater good)). Use that core in the infuser to make a stone or fire golem.
Fen/Glacial/Storm/Vapor golems can be found in the wild. While they cannot be tamed (and betrayed by ripping their heart out), they will give nearby survivors a core of their type upon defeat. Use this core in the infuser to create a golem.
How do I make a fury furious?
Warning: making a fury furious may cause certain side effects, including attracting a pure Fury. To make a fury furious (and greatly increase its output damage), ride one during its strong time and have an opposing type fury nearby.
For example: during the daylight, ride a dawn fury next to a dusk fury. The light beam and sparks means its working. After a certain amount of energy has been sapped, your fury will explode with energy. If you are doing this for more than just the effects, go kill some creatures and see if you can open a rift. The rifts are bright white beams that signify the coming of a pure fury. If you don't want to engage it, get away from the rift.
